Roof To Wall Attachments

Item 4 on the Wind Mitigation Inspection Report asks for the weakest form of attachment of the trusses or rafters to the exterior walls or interior bearing walls. Toe nails are the weakest form of attachment, double wraps are the strongest. The following illustrations will help you identify the different types of attachments.
